Decriminalizing prostitution has been\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2021\/03\/03\/science-based-policy-means-decriminalizing-sex-work-say-hundreds-of-researchers\/\" target=\"_blank\">linked to<\/a>\u00a0an array of positive outcomes, from\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2023\/03\/09\/rape-rates-go-down-as-countries-legalize-prostitution-rise-with-sex-work-prohibition\/\" target=\"_blank\">lower rates of sexual violence<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2014\/07\/15\/fight-rape-with-legal-prostitution\/\" target=\"_blank\">sexually transmitted infections<\/a>\u00a0overall to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu.org\/report\/sex-work-decriminalization-answer-what-research-tells-us\" target=\"_blank\">less violence against sex workers<\/a>. It means fewer law enforcement resources wasted on policing consensual activity between adults, freeing up time and money for stopping and solving serious crimes. It&#8217;s supported by organizations\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2015\/07\/28\/celebs-protest-amnesty-international\/\" target=\"_blank\">including Amnesty International<\/a>, Human Rights Watch, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women, and the World Health Organization.
