In 2021,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/data\/hestat\/maternal-mortality\/2021\/maternal-mortality-rates-2021.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1,205 US women<\/a>&nbsp;died from birth-related causes, up from 754 in 2019.
