On the surface, this may seem to provide some support for the FTC&#8217;s position, but American shoppers would be wise to read the fine print.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In truth, if the deal were to proceed, a merged version of Kroger and Albertsons would still only make up&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/laweconcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Kroger-Albertsons-Merger-Full-Paper.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">9 percent<\/a>&nbsp;of overall grocery sales.
