Worse still, Trump has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2025\/08\/26\/closure-of-tariff-loophole-for-mail-packages-puts-millions-of-everyday-transactions-at-risk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">done away with<\/a>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<em>de minimis<\/em>&nbsp;exemption, which allowed goods valued at under $800 to enter the U.S. tariff-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Exclusively stocking U.S.-produced materials isn&#8217;t an option for most craft stores. &#8220;Tariffs impact American-made yarns as well,&#8221;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DNqX530M1lR\/?img_index=3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pointed out<\/a>&nbsp;Fibre Space, a yarn store in Alexandria, Virginia. That&#8217;s because &#8220;American-made goods still rely on materials made in other countries.&#8221; Yarn &#8220;is an agricultural product,&#8221; observes Chadwell, &#8220;so certain crops and certain livestock produce the best fiber in very specific climates that aren&#8217;t necessarily&#8221; found in the United States.
