The South left the Union in order to defend slavery and racial supremacy. The Southerners believed it was a scientific truth of the world that blacks were inferior and should be subservient. They didn’t lose these beliefs the moment they lost the war. After the Civil War, White Southerns responded to the loss by organizing in order to persecute, murder, beat, and instill fear in, blacks, in order to keep them down and maintain racial supremacy. White Southerners maintained white supremacy through terrorism.

The Klu Klux Klan, the KKK, started as a kind of social club, almost like a college fraternity. They made up silly-sounding titles and wore fun costumes. The people in it were racists, but they didn’t set up the organization to do racist things.

The Klan became a political organization when members perceived the North’s rule as too aggressive in potentially arming blacks in state militias and giving them the ability to vote.

Europe was the second-fiddle Christian land until Muslims conquered the heart of Christianity. The Crusades were a delayed response to these invasions as well as continued invasions of lands controlled by Christians.

Muslims from where Algeria is now, raided and enslaved Europeans for hundreds of years. Algeria demands reparations for French colonialism, but hypocritically ignores 300 years of Algerians raiding and enslaving Europeans.

Toppled Confederate statue will rise again in Washington

Statues of leaders in parks have less to do with history and more to do with celebrating certain ideologies and causes. A statue doesn’t tell you much about history, but it does honor the person in stone, and it honors what they are known for. Confederate leaders and soldiers are known for using deadly force in rebellion against the United States of America for the primary cause of keeping most black people in the south as slaves. These acts were traitorous, anti-freedom, racist, and anti-democratic because the south only seceded because they lost an election to an abolitionist named Lincoln.

Such statues should be removed legally.
