Trump’s Department of Justice has been dishonest so many times in court, that they have soiled the Department’s previous reputation of generally being honest. This soiling spreads to the US government as a whole, and even the country. If a country’s Department of Justice consistently lies, then that is not a just country. This is what happens when you appoint hacks over quality, and when the president expects the Department of Justice to obey his whims rather than the law and the truth.
