Thanks to Trump repeatedly going back on deals, lying about deals, and pulling out of previous agreements, other countries can’t trust the United States. If a deal requires the US to actually follow through, especially if the other country has to give something first, then that deal is now unlikely because Trump can’t be trusted. This limits the possible deals the US can make.

Tucker Carlson was caught lying about Trump, supporting him publicly while privately saying he doesn’t like him. Now, Tucker apologizes for supporting Trump, but still implies falsely that he wasn’t lying. He got filthy rich lying to people and misleading them.

Deporting the spouses of US citizens is a net bad.
“An active-duty U.S. Army sergeant who has served in the military for 27 years, including in Afghanistan, said he still does not “understand why” his wife was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement last week in Texas.
In an interview with CBS News Sunday, Sgt. First Class Jose Serrano, 51, said his wife, Deisy Rivera Ortega, was arrested by ICE on April 14 during an appointment at an immigration office in El Paso.
Rivera Ortega, who married Serrano in 2022, has been in the U.S. for over a decade, since 2016. She was granted a legal protection in 2019 that prohibits her deportation to her native El Salvador, U.S. immigration court documents show. But the Department of Homeland Security told CBS News that Rivera Ortega entered the U.S. illegally, and Serrano said his wife has been informed she could be deported to a third country, like Mexico, where she has no ties….
If his wife is sent to Mexico, Serrano said he would likely not be able to see her without jeopardizing his military career, given restrictions on service members traveling to Mexico.
“We don’t know nobody in Mexico,” he said. “Plus, as a military, we’re not allowed to go to Mexico.
“Serrano, who was born in Puerto Rico, said his wife’s detention has exacerbated his mental health challenges, noting he has been treated previously for a traumatic brain injury, PTSD and depression.”

The conservatives on the Supreme Court advanced the shadow docket as a prominent way to make impactful decisions while fighting with the Obama administration.They wanted to stop major Obama actions so that a final ruling wouldn’t come after the actions have already had a major impact. Yet, during the Trump administration, the shadow docket has often been used to allow Trump to go ahead with actions. The conservatives of the Supreme Court appear to be using the shadow docket to implement their political ideology, not execute sound and considered legal decisions.

In tough diplomacy, the world came together to prevent Iran from getting a nuke. Even Israeli intelligence said Iran was in compliance. Trump blew all that up by leaving the agreement unilaterally, claiming he could get a better deal. Instead, he gave us war.
The Obama-Iran deal set back Iranian nuclear development by over a decade, and was intended to be the start of negotiations and the relationship, not the final say. They hoped the next president, Hillary Clinton, could push deals forward. Instead, Trump was elected and took a different path.
